Know what’s
inside the price.
Practical questions to help you prepare for a conversation with Monkey Masonry.
Square footage is a starting point
Two projects with the same surface area can require different work. New concrete in an open area differs from replacing an old slab behind a narrow gate. That’s why this planner gives a size summary rather than an unsupported dollar estimate.
Ask what the quote includes
- Removal and hauling of existing material.
- Site preparation and access arrangements.
- The concrete scope, finish, and reinforcement discussed for your project.
- Transitions, drainage considerations, and cleanup.
- Any project-specific requirements and exclusions.
Compare the same scope
Use your measurements, site photos, and written goals when requesting quotes. Ask each contractor to explain what is included. A smaller price can reflect a smaller scope rather than a better deal.
Nearby projects and travel
Stockton and nearby cities are our focus, with Modesto at the outer edge of our usual area. Travel, equipment access, hauling, and repeat visits matter. If a neighbor is planning work too, mention it; we can discuss whether coordinating schedules makes sense.
